Project Silk – Guidance on Next Generation Web Applications

Posted on July 29, 2022

Looks like Microsoft Patterns & Practices is gearing up for a new project offering guidance and sample implementations on building next generation web applications using web technologies like HTML5, jQuery, and CSS3. The project is called, Project Silk, is hosted on CodePlex, and coding appears to begin January 10, 2011.

The overview of Project Silk is described as such:

“Project Silk will provide guidance and sample implementations that describe and illustrate recommended practices for building next generation web applications using web technologies like HTML5, jQuery, CSS3 and IE9. The guidance will be taught in the context of real-world development scenarios rather than focusing on technology features.”

Can’t wait to see what comes out of this project.
