ASP.NET MVC UI Controls from Telerik - RAD Controls for AJAX in MVC Framework

This past week I presented a couple of sessions at the ASP.NET MVC Firestarter Event in Tampa Florida ( see other Tampa Florida Events ).

I learned a couple of things regarding the release of some new products from Telerik:

First, there is the release of the Telerik OpenAccess O/R Mapper, which looks to be a really nice O/R Mapper with good Visual Studio Integration, LINQ Support, Persistence Ignorance, etc.

Second, Telerik has published some preliminary information on how their ASP.NET AJAX RAD Controls work with the ASP.NET MVC Framework.

These aren't necessarily new controls as they look to be the exiting RAD AJAX Controls from Telerik, but it looks like Telerik is seriously looking at developing ( or making sure the existing ) RAD UI Controls that work with the ASP.NET MVC Framework. This is a good sign for those UI Developers that want to leverage more RAD UI Controls in their MVC Web Applications.

Per the Telerik Blog:

"The Q3 2008 release is now out and I am glad to inform you that RadScriptManager provides support for ASP.NET MVC view and master pages. What this means is that RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax can be used in ASP.NET MVC. We have tested with the ASP.NET MVC Beta 1 release."
